Summer visits - Bosvigo

Bosvigo is one of my favourite local gardens, and it never disappoints.

The woodland garden in Spring is divine, you can see how it looked this spring here, Summer is so different but equally beautiful.

The hint of what's to come...

layer upon layer of frothy pinks in the walled garden...

Phlox

Dahlias and Pelargoniums,

Frothy Thelictrum and whirls of pale Monarda.

Then on to the blue and yellow garden around the corner...

Drifts of Geraniums and spikey Dahlias...

Vibrant Clematis.

The teens and granny had dressed to match this part of the garden beautifully and there was a handy bench!

Then onto the hot garden which in July when we visited was just getting going.

Drifts of rusty and scarlet Dahlias...

and fiery Crocosmia...

and dramatic, sunshine yellow Ligularia with its dark, dark leaves.

Then back we strolled  through the woodland garden past delicate Astrantia and the impressive leaves and flowers of Rogersia...

back in time for tea and having avoided all the showers!!!
